Oof Records is a label for friends by friends
Oof Records (short for Orbit of Friends) was established in early 2020, when a battery ran out during a FaceTime call between founder/label-head Ava Mirzadegan and co-founder, David Britton. The two friends were trying to brainstorm what way to release David’s music into the world, when they came to the idea of starting a label and community where the sharing of music was done by tapping into already built orbits of friends, and in turn, the orbits of those friends.
