Vital Records gets its name from government records of life and death and seeks to distill the vastness and minutiae of existence into sonic meditations. The main goal of Vital Records is to reverberates the echoes of life back at itself and to make sense of the nonstop spinning motion of waking life.

The ambient solo project of Ava Mirzadegan, Vital Records’ first single “Send Me My Birds” was written in the throes of an anxiety attack. With words performed by Carmen Canedo, the song finds Mirzadegan finding her way back down, seeking out control and a semblance of calm, as “anxiety folds its palm.”

At some point, there will be a tape released, entitled Secret Year.
